Peek at the Week - Week of September 24

Yup. The above happened during last year's Carmageddon, a group of friends hopped a fence and had an early morning brunch on the 405. All the warnings and terror struck into the minds of Angelenos proved to be very effective, as Carmageddon's traffic was some of the lightest in the history of Los Angeles transit. This year, the warnings seem less ominous and I fear people are thinking Carmegeddon Shmarmeggedon, "I'm going to take advantage of possibly the second lightest traffic day of all time." We will see. Who knows whats going to happen but personally, I am going to stay as put as can be.

Great food news of the week:
The much buzzed about new rustic chic bar, Phoenix opened its doors this week. Phoenix is from the owners of Surely Goat, one of my Hollywood favorite spots.
Rumor has it that Stone Brewery is looking at opening a Los Angeles location in the near future, I hope it mirrors the San Diego location with a tasting room, brewery and a beautifully set, delicious restaurant.
